Lime Render & Keim Mineral Paint

We removed the heavy cement render and rusty galvanised metal lathes from this Grade 2 Listed farmhouse in Braintree as it was not allowing the building to breathe, and as a consequence, was causing a rapid deterioration of the timber frame.

After the frame was exposed and assessed, we carried out a series of essential Oak timber frame repairs, installed sheeps wool insulation, added a breather membrane, vertical spacer battens for the render hook to form, stainless steel metal lathes, insect & rodent proofing, lead detailing, lime render, and applied a breathable Keim Mineral Paint.
